Investment Philosophy

Combining the opportunities generated by the opening up of the economies of the East and the West with a vision for ’social entrepreneurship,’ GFI took up this challenge to fill the role required of business and investment to connect the east and west.

The East had much opportunities; many rich overseas Chinese, untapped potentials and raw materials but has a lack in professional expertise, trained middle management and creative financial structures. Newly developed, these countries required massive investments and professional management to leapfrog to the next stage of economic well-being.

The West was the reverse: having a large well trained professional middle management with proven structures but lacking opportunities and potential with much of their raw materials already consumed through centuries of industrialisation.

Exchange Across The Horizon means a win-win situation for both as it matches consumption with resources. The east obtains the expertise and investment from the west allowing it to breakthrough to the next step; the west has a release outlet to sustain and renew itself.
